Many and most of our relationships and acquisitions were formed through research. Frequent sixteen hour days, and even more sleepless nights. We understand, as in any industry, the foundation of business is knowledge. Like the old saying goes, “Knowledge is Power”. Finding a competitive advantage in todays global economy, [driven almost exclusively by technology], can be a rarity. With that being said however, deep intrenched in the phenomenon we call “the Internet”, we uncovered the powers of one of the last remaining “hidden jewels” of business; Investing in generic domain names.
Our research and networking has proven that as each day passes, there are million and billion dollar companies around the world making their digital decisions in minutes and seconds, rather than weeks and months. We’ve uncovered the realities within the lack of insight and education, in regards to domain names, Internet traffic, corporate branding, marketing, and advertising, spanning across the globe throughout executive boardrooms. The very individuals these companies empower and rely on are clueless themselves.
After researching, networking, consulting, and even contracting with real estate agencies, law firms, traditional investors, engineers, magazine and newspaper executives, tv stations, and publicly-traded media companies, we have a deep pulse on our industry, but more importantly a birds-eye-view on the “behind the scenes” activity, [or lack of], from there respected industries.
On a daily basis, our team visits, reviews, and notates information from about thirty websites. Those initial highlights, when present, are spun into a variety of other searches and documentation. We’re currently tracking more than 1,200 generic domain names, and more than twenty companies. For the most part, we know who owns what, how much they paid, who’s advertising with who, how much it costs, and more importantly, what opportunities exist that have been overlooked. This stems far deeper than strategic domain name acquisition but often into competitive analysis of Internet traffic, Organic Listings, PPC, PPL, Display and Print Advertising, and much, much more.
